After getting several quotes from dealers in the Dayton area, I called Jenni on a hunch to ask her about purchasing a bike from Tri-County. "AFTER PURCHASING MY SCOOTER IN MARCH OF 2008 FROM ANOTHER DEALER, I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE PURCHASE, SO I STARTED LOOKING FOR OTHER DEALERS IN THE AREA. I HAPPEN TO WORK IN THE TRI-COUNTY AREA, AND WAS DRIVING DOWN ROUTE 4 WHEN I FOUND TRI-COUNTY HARLEY DAVIDSON. I HAD BOUGHT AFTER MARKET PIPES AND WAS HAVING SOME BACK FIRING PROBLEMS AND STOPPED IN TO SEE IF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULD HELP ME. THAT IS WHERE I MET WAYNE. HE WAS MORE THAN WILLING TO HOOK MY BIKE UP TO A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE AND SEE IF THE MOTOR BALANCE WAS IN ORDER. MORE RECENTLY I WAS INVOLVED IN A SERIUOS ACCIDENT INVOLVING A DEER THAT DID MORE THAN SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS OF DAMAGE TO MY BIKE. THE INSURANCE WANTED TO TOTAL IT AND I ASKED WAYNE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING WE COULD DO TO KEEP THE COST UNDER THE TOTAL PERCENTAGE THE INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD PAY OUT SO I COULD KEEP MY FIRST HARLEY. NOW GRANTED THEY HAD MY BIKE FOR ABOUT 2-1/2 MONTHS, BUT I WAS NOT VERY EAGER TO JUMP RIGHT BACK ON AND RIDE, SO THE WAIT WAS NOT THAT BAD. THEIR PRECISION AND DEDICATION TO ENSURE THAT EVERYTHING ON THE BIKE WAS EXACTLY THE WAY IT WAS PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT IS COMFORTING. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY BIKE TO ANY OTHER MECHANICS OR TECHNICIANS UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTLY NECESSARY. I WILL NOW BUY ALL OF MY PARTS, FUTURE BIKES AND SERVICE FROM TRI-COUNTY HARLEY. WHATEVER THEY ARE PAYING WAYNE AND HIS SERVICE CREW IS NOT ENOUGH. THEY REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IT IS REFRESHING NOT TO SNUBBED BECAUSE OF THE TYPE OF BIKE OR EXPERIENCE THAT ONE HAS AND IS TRULY TREATED LIKE PART OF THE HARLEY FAMILY. "well after selling my bike last week i started looking around
for harley number 6 anyhow i went to eastgate harley where i have bought 2 bikes in the past but they never hardly have any bikes in stock
so i went to cincinnati harley to see what they had WOW what a mistake !!! i think the saleman go mad because he was in the middle of breakfast when i walked in?
anyhow after talking to him for just a few mins he had the personality of a rock
so i went ahead and filled out a credit app and left well i called them back about 2 hours later because i never got a call back from them well the guy i was dealing with had to leave for the day so they put me on the phone with some lady that was the boss she tells me good news i got everything approved problem is the rate is 5% higher than it was on my last bike i bought from eastgate and it was with the same bank?
on top of that they would not even budge on the sticker price
not even $100 well after the crappy attitudes the high rate and the i dont care if you buy it or not i washed my hands with them forever!
i got so pissed i went looking at metric bikes
then i got a phone call from a buddy rick foster and he told me to call you guys and talk to jon sweet
well after 5 mins on the phone with him i was on my way up to tri county [50 mins away]
when i got their it was like a whole different world all the sales crew was more than helpful and everybody had a smile on their face
jon took the time to show me some new and used bikes and made me and my wife feel right at home
so i went ahead and filled out a app and with in 5 mins or less [no joken] he had me approved and on top of that my rate was 5% lower than it was at cincinnati and i did both apps in the same day...
im so gad my buddy rick turned me onto you guys it worth the extra drive to be taken care of..
well if everything goes as planned i will be picking up a roadglide tuesday from you guys

"My first Harley, at age 16, was tank shift and suicide clutch. My newest Harley, I bought myself, to celebrate 50 years of riding on my 66th birthday. I've dealt with a lot of HD dealers in five decades but never have I thought as highly of any of them as I do Tri-County. I like the way I have been treated. I got the old dealer crap from up in north Dayton, Springfield, Xenia, Cincinnati, Mason and a few other areas until a friend of mine from Cincinnati told me he bought his new Harley at Tri County and I should give them a try.
I bought a new '09 Ultra Classic on March 5, 2009 and I was just back in Waynes service department, on May 1st, for my 5000 mile check. The bike is great, I got off my old '89 Classic with 93,000 miles and on a ride like no other. The professional sales people treated me like I had some sense. Rob sold me the bike, John handled the paper work and the Canadian "Bob" delivered the bike making sure everything went smooth.
I was in for service on May 1st and while I was waiting I sat outside and struck up a conversation with this stranger. It was the first Bike Day and he asked if I rode in. I told him I rode fifty miles from Dayton for my service. He seemed curious about why I came so far to buy and have my bike serviced. I told him because this dealership seems to want my business and offers customer service I couldn't find anywhere else within a 75 mile radius. After we talked he thanked me for the conversation and got up to leave. I said I didn't catch your name. He said, "I'm Louie Owens and I own this dealership." He said his business plan is to have his whole staff work to provide customer service and he's always glad to here these comments from the customers.
Keep up the customer service. It works for me and separates you from the other Harley stores.

"Wow!!! What can I say. I walked in to the store on Feb 14th, 2009 (Valentines Day) just to check out the accessories that were on sale. A friend told me about the great deals. I walked in the door and I immediately felt a warm feeling that was crteated by the entire staff. A saleman came up and asked if I needed help and I said that I was "just looking around". I then was greeted by Bob and I asked him if the bikes on the floor were all he had in stock. He told me that there were "new and used in the back" and to go take a look. I felt the "trust factor" that he had for his clients and the comfort I had at making myself at home. I walked around drooling over all of the Harley's and then Jon came and asked me if I needed assistance. Needless to say I was impressed with his genuine sincereity when it came to pleasing me,the customer, and the fairness that he expressed. I walked out feeling that I had found a new dealer to work with in the future. Well, I went back on Sunday, Feb 15, after church, and was greeted by the same people in the same warm manner. "I haven't even purchased my new bike yet and already I'm a fan. Compared to the other dealers in the area, Tri-County has by far the greatest staff around. I came in looking for some info on a 2009 Heritage. Jenni immediately took me serious and helped me decide on how to go about selling my Road Glide and how I could get the most for it. She then promised to let me know when a bike with the color combo I want will be in and together we plan on ordering one after I can see what the color looks like. "My wife and I were riding home to Florida from Milwaukee on our honeymoon when her Fat Boy died on the interstate in Indiana, and her bike towed to Tri-County. We arrived at closing time, of course, and all of the techs had already left. Bob kept the service bay open so we could get her bike in and start the paperwork and assured us he would get started on the bike first thing in the morning. With 3 bags on each of our softails, we weren't sure how to get us both and our bags to a hotel. Well, Jenni overheard us and one of the sweet ladies working there offered to take my wife and her bags to a hotel for us. Jenni and Bob then told us about a great local watering hole to take the stress off. We went that night and they were there and made us feel like family. Sure enough, as promised, by 12 the next day they had my wifes bike repaired and us on the way. Hands down in 20+ years of riding, this was my best dealer (of any kind) experience ever. The entire Tri-County staff was friendly and efficient and a pleasure to deal with. They went out of their way to get us back on our way home. Great prices, service and the best people anywhere. I recommend Tri-County to all my riding buddies, and will call here first when I am in the market for another bike, and we have 10 dealers within an hour of our house.
